President Akufo-Addo Gifts Sandema Naab Azantilow Brand New Prado

The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, was in the Upper East region for a two-day working visit.

His tour of the region started on Tuesday 13th August at the Bolgatanga Senior High School and then proceeded to Binaba, Bawku, Pusiga, Kulungugu. He later retired back to Bolga to complete his first day tour.

On the second day of his visit, the President went to Navrongo where he inspect ongoing works at the Tono water treatment plant and the Tono irrigation dam. He later addressed a durbar of chiefs in that area.

On his way to Fumbisi, the President made a brief stop at the palace of Azagsuk Azantilow. His Majesty the chief recounted his longstanding friendship with the President dating as far back as the time of their grandfathers.

Reports say the president donated a vehicle to the chief and his people during his visit.
