It been barely 72 hours since a gang of thieves bolted with a 18-carat solid gold toilet seat after they broke into the Oxfordshire Palace and stole the artwork.

Thames Valley Police confirmed that the gang broke into the place and stole the toilet piece entitled ‘America’ which people had been visiting to use.

Fortunately, reports coming in indicate that a 66-year-old man has been arrest in connection with the golden toilet which went missing and he is in police custody.

Police say, the theft caused major damage and flooding because the toilet had been plumed into the building. ‘America’, the golden toilet was part of an exhibition by an Italian conceptual artist Maurizio Cattelan that opened in 2019.

Blenheim Palace chief executive, Dominic Hare, disclosed they were aggrieved by the event but also comforted no individual was hurt. The gold toilet was famously offered to US President Donald Trump in 2017.
