‘My Daughter Was Murdered’- Mother Of Late Suzzy Williams Speaks 14 Years After Her Daughter’s Death

Suzzy Williams was a well-known Ghanaian television and film actress. One of the fondest memories of Suzzy Williams is the role she played in the Ghanaian movie ‘My Mother’s Heart’.

She was the brave child of her mother who was ready to fight her every battle. Even outside of the movie industry, this description became what Suzzy Williams was known for.

Unfortunately, she failed to defeat death in September 2005 after she had been involved in car accident.

At the age of only 23, Suzzy Williams was no longer counted among the living. Her death sent waves of shock across the entire country.

Her fans and industry players at the time could not believe that a person with so much talent and potential had her career and indeed her life terminated at such a young age.

What many knew was that Suzzy her lost life through the car accident. However 14 years after her death, her mother in an interview has revealed that contrary to what many believed to have caused her daughter’s death, Suzzy was in fact murdered.

She said when the incident happened, she went to the hospital to see her daughter. Upon arrival, she went to the ward where Suzzy was and checked her pulse as well as her heartbeat. And everything was okay.

She continued to narrate as follows: “So I passed by and I pulled the window down, [I saw a] young, fair coloured [doctor] held her head from behind with a straw into Suzzy’s nose- today I said it.”

“That is what I saw and I can never ever forget it. And I asked the young doctor why. He said this way is better; once and for all. After all if she survives, she’ll be a burden on you. That was the word he gave me.”

When asked by the interviewer whether she believes her daughter was murdered, she didn’t hesitate to respond in the affirmative. “Of course”, she said.
