Snitch Alert: Female Ghanaian Journalist Allegedly Gossiped About Her Colleague Journalists To Ex Black Stars Coach

These are interesting times in Ghana indeed. A journalist playing ‘double agent’ against her own colleague journalists in the media arena is nothing short of shame.

It has been alleged that a Ghanaian journalist was gossiping about her fellow journalists who reported bad press on the recently dismissed coach of the Ghana national team, the Black Stars.

According to the allegation, sighted by AfricaCelebrities.com, from a social media post on Twitter by popular Ghanaian TV personality and host of State of Affairs on GHOne, Nana Aba Anamoah, the unnamed journalist was monitoring her colleagues on twitter for ‘anti-Kwesi Appiah tweets’.

Nana Aba Anamoah’s tweet reads as follows: “As them sack Kwesi Appiah dier it means that female journalist who has been doing konkonsa about everything tweeted on this app by other journalists and personalities has lost her job too. Chic was buying data constantly to monitor anti Kwesi Appiah tweets. Peace and Love.“

Her allegation was corroborated by another respected sports journalist, Michael Oti Ajei, who simply tweeted that: “Mudslinging. A weapon of the weak.”

Nana Aba Anamoah again supported the tweet making reference to it as a message to the ‘honorable Kwesi Appiah’s whistleblower’.

While all of these were going on, TV3’s Bridget Otoo has come out to claim that she is the journalist in question who was snitching on her colleagues.

She said in her defense that it wasn’t gossiping but ‘strategic communication’. And later added that it is ‘blogging’.

While we are yet to ascertain if it was indeed Bridget Otoo who was gossiping about her colleagues to Kwesi Appiah, one thing is clear though; that everything points to the fact that the person is a female journalist and well-known.
