VIDEO: Kwaw Kese Speaks Again On Popcaan Smoking Marijuana In Public, Calls For Wee Legalization In Ghana

Ghanaian musician Kwaw Kese has condemned the Ghana police service and other security agencies for harassing citizens who smoke marijuana in the country.

The ‘abodam man’ recalled that he was once a victim of smoking marijuana in public and was arrested by the policed and jailed. He, therefore, felt he should be the first person to speak up when a video of Popcaan smoking in public surfaced.

In a video, sighted by AfricaCelebrities.com, Kwaw was however quick to add that his beef is not even with Popcaan but the system in Ghana.

He said that: “I’m not mad at you; I can’t be mad at Popcaan. I’m mad at our system, the Ghanaian system that see people who smoke marijuana as criminals and send them to prison.”

Then turning his attention to the main issue, Kwaw was of the opinion that smoking is not a crime. According to him “smoking marijuana is not criminal.”

Among many things, Kwaw Kese aka the man insane, said the following in the video:

“So from this day, we want the government to decriminalize the use of marijuana because if your own people can be arrested for using marijuana in bush and ghettos where they don’t even do it in public, then that is wickedness, he added.

“If you can allow for people to come from their countries to come and smoke openly in public and armed police men protecting him, the Ghanaians deserve the same.”
