I Thought I will Never Be Nominated In Ghana – Lord Paper Speaks After 3Music And VGMA Nominations

Ghanaian soul, Afrobeats and Hip hop musician Michael Takyi-Frimpong popular as Lord Paper has expressed his appreciation and shock at the nominations he has received this year.

Lord paper has been nominated for Breakthrough Act of The Year at the 3 Music awards and also New Artist of The Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards something he says he never dreamed off.

Speaking on 3 Music Awards Daily with Jay Folly, Lord Paper said although he broke-through some four years ago, he appreciates the fact that 3 Music Awards committee has recognized him and has placed him in the Breakthrough Act of The Year category.

“I have never been nominated before I thought they will never nominate me”, he said in pidgin English. “Because I’ve been through so much when it comes to this particular industry. I sometimes take my songs to radio and TV and they snub me. I didn’t see myself being nominated in any category but at least I’ve been recognized and I appreciate it a lot. ”

Lord Paper however said he feels he does not deserve the Award because he is not a new act.
