Annie Idibia Angrily Descends On A Blog Claiming She Has Cancer

Actress Annie Idibia has angrily reacted to a social media post which claimed she is suffering from cancer.

Annie did not take it as a dry joke but stormed her Instagram page to call out a blog that wrote that she was seriously sick.

In her post, she questioned why an individual will intentionally write lies about her just to get traffic to their blog and also warned that the story be taken down.

She explained that the pictures used was a photoshoot she did to create awareness for cancer but not that she was really sick with cancer.

Veteran Nollywood Actress Ify Onwuemene Diagnosed With Cancer, Begs For Supports

Ify Onwuemene, one of Nigeria’s veteran actresses,has been left in a bad state and is seeking public help to treat her endometrial cancer.

The actress last year took to social media to beg for support fro well meaning Nigerians to help her treat her sickness but from the look of things, she didn’t get enough support.

Her current state and plea was made known by colleague actress Gloria Anozie Young who disclosed that the actress is in a critical condition and if help is not given fast, she might lose her life.

“Folks please we need help for our sister @ifyonwuemene an actress from the days of Sam loco and Enebeliuwa. I worked with her last on the set of Tajudeen Adepetu’s “Everyday People” in the late ’90s,”

‘She is down with endometrial cancer. She has tried sourcing for funds on her own, but nothing is too small. Please send whatever you can to Ifey Onwuemene, Fidelity Bank 6010999993 Thank you.”

Renown Reverend Kathy Kiuna has recently shared a private struggle with her fans. The associate pastor at JCC Church opened up about her husband’s struggle with cancer.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Kathy revealed that hubby Bishop Allan Kiuna was diagnosed with cancer last year. He had to undergo chemotherapy treatment.

Last year, was a difficult time for us. My husband @bishopkiuna was diagnosed with cancer and was away seeking treatment. Chemotherapy had him loosing hair, gaining weight and unable to do much physically; he was unable to stand or walk for long and had to tiptoe around from the immense pain in his legs. Chemotherapy had him at his lowest. What was most difficult for me, was having to be home preaching most of the time and not by his side physically and honestly speaking it took all of me to even stand and preach. Most of what I preached last year, was more for me than anyone else, it was God speaking to me at the same time using me to get to someone. Regardless of how I felt, I had to show my husband that we would get through this and show strength even when it was hard and would later go on my knees and remind God of His promises most times with tears rolling down my face. In that season, I learnt to put the weight of my faith in God. It is easy to say "My faith is in God" yet still want to do things on your own and find other ways especially when you feel like God is "taking time" The first and second pictures were my husband during chemotherapy, the third was on our way back home after treatment, the fourth was when he was now in church and preaching but had to wear a hat and still could not stand for long and the fifth is God's grace in action, taken last week during 40 Days Of Glory. His hair has grown back, he is physically fit, he can run, jump, stand for hours and when I see this, it is a reminder that all glory is to God. Whatever it is you're going through, put all your faith (stop considering options B, C or trying to work it out yourself) in God and His promises. God's grace will cause you to stand where you fell, It does not matter how long you have been down the Grace of God is stepping in & you shall have strength, power, favour & anointing. I see my husband laying hands on the sick and they're getting healed and I realise he had to go through what he went through to access a new level and so shall it be for you #YouShallTestify

During the chemo, Bishop Allan was unable to stand or walk for long. He experienced immense pain in his legs forcing him to tip toe. He also lost his hair and gained weight because of the radiation treatment.

Despite the difficult time, things are much better now according to Kathy. “His hair has grown back, he is physically fit, he can run, jump, stand for hours and when I see this, it’s a reminder that all glory is to God,”she said.

Local heroine Anne died on the night of Sunday, September 22. She passed away at the Glen Eagles Global Hospital in India where she was receiving treatment. Anne moved many hearts after turning down cancer treatment to save her unborn baby. Anne’s mum Jane Muchuka Ameyo said her death has hit the family hard but they are trying to cope.

She candidly revealed that her daughter’s last words were ”Lord do not leave me,” which she uttered before taking her last breath. Ameyo was also full of thanks to Kenyans for raising KSh 2.3 million which afforded her specialised treatment in India.

According to Ameyo, the worst part was that Anne was all happy and even ready to fly back home when the angel of death visited. The family has requested Kenyans to help them raise KSh 180,000, money needed to fly her body back home. Anne arrived in India on August 15 and was under treatment until her sudden demise.She has left behind two children who Ameyo said needed help and prayed for strength to take care of them now that their mother is no more. Countless Kenyans are mourning with the family and even took to social media to condole together.

Scientists Say People Who Eat Chicken Are At Risk Of Developing Deadly Disease

Chicken ’causes cancer’: Oxford University scientists say people who eat poultry are at increased risk of developing the deadly disease.

Eating chicken puts consumers at a higher risk of a rare form of blood cancer, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, as well as prostate cancer in men, according to researchers from Oxford University.

The research involved tracking 475,000 middle-aged Britons over a period of eight years between 2006 and 2014.

Their diets were analysed alongside the diseases and illnesses they suffered with. Around 23,000 of them developed cancer.

‘Poultry intake was positively associated with risk for malignant melanoma, prostate cancer and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma’, according to the paper published in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health.

The research that was carried out was an ‘association study’.

This means that it only shows the correlation between eating chicken and the certain types of cancers, rather than investigating the reasons why.

There are a number of factors that could cause this link.

It could mean that the meat itself contains a carcinogen but it could even come down to how the meat is cooked.

Up until now, chicken has been widely regarded as a healthy alternative to red meat.

Red meat is known to raise health risks including breast, prostate and colorectal cancer because of how the blood from the meat product is digested.
