Tolulope Arotile, Nigeria’s first female combat helicopter pilot was reported to have died after sustaining injuries from an accident in Kaduna State.

The Nigeria Air Force(NAF) have revealed that the 24-year-old was hit by a car driven by her former classmate at the Nigerian Air Force Base.

A statement issued on Tuesday night by the Director of Public Relations and Information Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola gave account of what happened.

Flying Officer Arotile was winged as the first ever female combat helicopter pilot in the Nigerian Air Force on 15 October 2019, after completing her flying training in South Africa. She holds a commercial pilot license and also underwent tactical flying training on the Agusta 109 Power Attack Helicopter in Italy.

Incidentally, she introduced the newly acquired Agusta 109 Power Attack Helicopter to the President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, during the induction ceremony at Eagle Square in Abuja on 6 February 2020.

Flying Officer Arotile died on 14 July 2020 at the age of 24, when she was inadvertently hit by the reversing vehicle of an excited former Air Force Secondary School classmate while trying to greet her. Before her untimely death, Flying Officer Arotile made significant and outstanding contributions to the war against terrorism, armed banditry and other forms of criminality in the country, flying several combat missions” part of the statement reads.

Poshnicki shared a video of what is left of her car she bought 2 months ago. She disclosed in the caption of the video that a big trailer crushed into her and she was lucky to have survived.

The influencer added that her phone was stolen by passerby who came to her aid.

Prime Minister for United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, was involved in a vehicular crash today, right outside the Parliament.

The news came out after a video of the accident surfaced on social media. Johnson’s spokesperson confirmed the crash and said the PM came out unscratched.

“Yes, that was the PM’s car,” the spokesperson said. “I think the video speaks for itself as to what happened. No reports of anybody being injured.”

Boris Johnson’s car was hit in the back as his vehicle made a stop after a protester jumped in the middle of the road. The protester is said to have been arrested after the incident.

London’s Metropolitan Police said in a statement that, “A pedestrian is reported to have stepped onto the road, causing the vehicles to suddenly stop, which has led to two of the vehicles in the convoy being involved in a damage-only collision.”

A well known Delta State baker and Nigerian socialite, Achiki Okoacha, is feared dead after she was involed in a fatal car accident along the Agbor road.

Reports say the famous baker was on her way from Asaba where she delivered a cake to a client with a friend, Jenny.

The report included that Achiki died on the spot but her friend is currently in Coma at a nearby hospital. Their vehicle was destroyed beyond repair.
