Controversial Kenyan social media personality, Huddah Monroe has shared her reason on the payment of tithe as it remains a hot debate in the public domain mostly unbelievers.

According to the controversial Kenyan socialite and entrepreneur, people stop paying tithe to their churches and pay it to the poor and needy in society.

The social media star, Huddah Monroe is of the view that after donating a huge amount of money to the church, the church, therefore, invests that money into businesses that turn to bring the church leaders profit that they tend not to share or disclose with members.

With her message, the act of giving to the poor and the needy is her way of paying tithe as she concluded that she would not pay tithe to a well-established church, pastor or an organization to be misused.

Loudmouth Member of Parliament, Hon Kennedy Ohene Agyapog has shared that, going to the church according to his opinion is a waste of one’s time and energy.

The controversial political figure who remains the Member of Parliament for Assin Central constituency posited that pastors have used the Bible to deceive and dupe Africans more importantly Ghanaians.

He added that some cleric even goes to the extent of sleeping with single ladies and married women in their churches.

Hon Kennedy Agyapong said:

“ There are a lot of fake pastors in Ghana. I believe in God but I don’t go to church. It is a waste of time for somebody to preach to me…I know the bible and I won’t go there for someone to preach to me because it is a waste of my time. I know God myself…if you call me and start talking about prophecy, I will hang up because I want to have a good sleep. Anytime I die it is God’s time”

Liberian President, H.E George Weah, has ordered for the partial reopening of all religious centers across the country although there is a constant rise in Coronavirus cases.

He said, mosques will open for prayers beginning May 15 and Churches will follow suit from May 17.

Liberia has by far recorded 199 positive cases of COVID-19 with 20 deaths, according to the country’s authorities.

The President however added that these religious centers will only be allowed to function if its congregation will adhere to the social distancing policy laid down by government.

In a statement signed by the President, lockdown in the country’s capital, Monrovia, has been extended for two more weeks.

Unidentified gunmen whose motives are yet to be known have killed at least 14 people after they opened fire inside a church in Burkina Faso.

The victims were attending a service at a church in Hantoukoura, in the eastern part of the country on Sunday.

According to the regional government, through a statement released, many people involved in the incident also got injured.

A security source said the armed men carried out the attack, “executing the faithful including the pastor and children”. Another source said the gunmen fled on scooters.

Hundreds of people have been killed in the country over the past few years, mostly by jihadist groups, sparking ethnic and religious tensions especially on the border with Mali.
