Asante Kotoko Football Club went away in Match day 2 of the ongoing Ghana Premier League to defend their unbeaten start against their bitter rivals in the North, Legon Cities FC formally Wa All Stars in a 2 goal margin lead at Wa, Ghana.

The Kumasi base club rallied from a goal down to win the much-hyped league fixture at the Malik Jabir Sports Stadium in Wa, Ghana. The home team took an early lead as the scored the first goal in the 8th minute of the game.

The porcupine warriors came up with an early equalizer as they leveled the game with a goal from Augustine Okrah in the 34th minute. Emmanuel Gyamfi;s two gaols aided the visiting side a two goal margin away lead as the game came to an end.

The game got an entertainment heat as the dancehall king, Charles Nii Armah who is popularly known in the entertainment circle as Shatta Wale got the spectators good music as they the crowd cheered up. The controversial dancehall artiste was rumored to have taken GHc 400,000.00 before performing at the stadium.

Angry supporters of the Wa base club in the Northern region of Ghana has expressed their displeasure this afternoon in a Wa based radio station as they joined the sports pundits in their team jerseys. The disappointed supporters pleased to the CEO of the club to take back the money rumored to have been given to Shatta Wale only if it is true.

Perhaps, it would be an understatement to say that the love for Ghana football has diminished drastically. The apathy of many Ghanaian football fans towards the local football is appalling.

Consequently the new executives of the Football Association of Ghana and football lovers commenced a campaign to bring back the love to the game.

Among the many hopes is that at least stadiums will be filled to capacity during football matches. And what better way to attract fans to the stadium with the king of dancehall in Ghana, Shatta Wale.

Earlier today, there were reports that the directors of the newly re-branded Legon Cities FC had reached an agreement with dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale to perform live on Friday at the foot club’s GPL clash against one of the biggest football teams in the country, Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

Many said, if true then they would absolutely go to the stadium on Friday to watch the game.

Now, this has been confirmed by Shatta Wale himself on social media. Posting a flyer of his live performance, Shatta Wale threw an open invite to his fans and football lovers to join him on Friday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
