Sad news we are receiving says Englsih-born Ghanaian footballer, Derrick Otim has drowned to his death in a lake in the United States.

Reports reveal, Derrick drowned on Friday, July 3, in Lake Keowee South Carolina. He died at the age of 24.

He had recently graduated from Xavier University and is said to have been visiting friends in South Carolina before his sudden death.

Before his death, he played as a midfielder of Nottingham Forest and Derrick Otim trained with Forest Academy before moving to America to further his education.

Lake Keowee, in 2018, was branded South Carolina’s “most deadly body of water”. 32 people has reportedly lost their lives there within 25 years.

On record, Manchester United player Marcus Rashford is born to a Jamaican parents and is known to be of Jamaican decent but new development proves otherwise.

A former Ghanaian footballer based in the United Kingdom, Michael Boye Maraquaye, is claiming he is the biological father of the star player.

The 65-year-old ex-player said in an interview on Starr Sports that he is the father of Marcus Rashford and that explains the players skills on the pitch.

Maraquaye explained the reason why he has been absent in the life of Rashford and why his name has never been mentioned saying;

“Marcus Rashford is my son and he knows it although we haven’t seen each other for several years.

” Marcus was angry because he thinks i abandoned him, but that was not the case. I am not that type of person looking for an easy way to get money or becoming famous.

” Many now are trying to come to me to try and get a new story, but i am not that type of person looking for an easy way to get money or becoming famous. I only wanted to make things clear and let the world know that Marcus Rashord has Ghanaian roots.”

Last December during a Premier League game between Crystal Palace and West Ham United, Ghanaian professional footballer, Jordan Ayew who plays as a forward for the Premier League club Crystal Palace scored a goal which can only be described as ‘world class’.

Jordan Ayew produced a wonder goal in the 90th minute to earn Crystal Palace a 2-1 win over West Ham in the English Premier League on Thursday December 26.

After Robert Snodgrass’ opener for Palace and Cheikhou Kouyate’s equalizer in the 68th minute, the game was heading to a draw until Ayew spun away from two defenders and chipped goalkeeper Roberto.

The goal has since gone viral and now the Premier League have nominated Jordan’s goal for goal of the month of December.

He admitted to hearing rumors about his wife’s promiscuity a few years ago but was in the process of investigating when she compounded matters by demanding divorce over the disagreement they had had, over the first child’s school fees.

According to Odartey Lamptey, close pals advised him to undertake a DNA test on the kids after obtaining many recordings of his ex-wife and her activities.

The ex-national footballer, Nii Odartey Lamptey, said he was in unbearable pain when results of a DNA test proved that he was not the biological father of his three children.

Finally, Odartey Lamptey has had that one boy child he so desires. Nii had to father three children not his for two decades.

In the end, it is clear that his ex-wife lied she cheated on him because his impotent. Odartey Lamptey had to endure public embarrassment, and admitted he nearly committed suicide.

Now, having three children again, all of them, including this one newly born, proven to be his. Congratulations are in order to the Black Star legend.

Thomas Partey’s home was burgled twice in a week recently. The first happened after he had left for a UEFA Champions League game against Lokomotiv Moscow and the second one followed a league.

The 26-year-old Ghanaian midfielder’s home was invaded just a week after Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro had suffered a similar fate in the Spanish capital.

But according to reports the armed robbers who stormed the apartments of Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid players have been apprehended.

Although there has yet to be an official confirmation, police sources told ESPN on Thursday the Guardia Civil are working on the basis the same group also burgled the houses of players including Casemiro, Alvaro Morata, Lucas Vazquez, Zinedine Zidane, Isco and Karim Benzema.

Possessions were stolen in the majority of cases but in the incidents involving Morata and Thomas, their families were home at the time the robbers entered.

There has been a long list of footballers in Spain who have been burgled in recent months from clubs such as Barcelona, Valencia and Real Betis (Gerard Pique, Arthur, Samuel Umtiti, Gabriel Paulista, Funes Mori, William Carvalho), but it has yet to be confirmed whether the arrested group is responsible.

Partey must be a relieved man to hear the news of the arrest of the people who have created much insecurity for him and his family.
