Sad news we are gathering shows that the home of famous Ghanaian actor, Koo Fori, has been razed down into ashes by fire.

A video of what used to be a beautiful home of the actor was released on social media with nothing spared by the fire. Koo Fori’s properties were destroyed beyond recognition.

It is unclear what caused the fire or when it began but commentary around the video says the fire might have began late September 6,2020 or early hours of September 7,2020.

A video sighted showed carpenters trying to save what is left of the house. Properties like TV sets, furniture, fridges and other properties worth millions were also destroyed.

The actor is yet to react to the news and confirm if he was injured in a way but we hope he is doing well.

Koo Fori was yesterday in the news following his comment on the ban of celebrities in the endorsement of alcoholic beverages in the country,

The Ghanaian actor, who has been stereotyped over the years as a drunkard considering his role in ‘Efiewura’ TV series. But according to him in an interview, he has never tasted alcohol before in his entire life.

“I have never drunk alcohol before, Never in my life. Immediately I get into the act of a drunkard, I begin to sweat and I do not know where it comes from. Psychologically, it has taken effect on me”.

He said because he’s not a drunkard, his mother wept the first time he saw him on TV drunk.

Koo Fori made this revelation in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM:

“My mother cried bitterly the first day she saw me on TV, playing the role of a drunkard. I explained to her but it took her a very long time for her to understand,”

Experienced Ghanaian Actor, Samuel Seth Kwabena Kyere Karikari famous as Koo Fori has revealed the Ban Ghana Food And Drugs Authority (FDA) placed on celebrities advertising and endorsing Alcoholic Beverages some 5 years ago cost him a huge deal.

In the studios of Hitz FM with Andy Dosty, the veteran said the ban forced him to give up a GHc 40,000 deal.

He said, “That very year when they brought the ban, we had shot an advert for Joy industries and we took almost Gh 40,000 and we have to forfeit that because of the ban. So it has really affected us.”

He however maintained that he and his colleagues will not rest until the ban has been amended.

The Food And Drugs Authority (FDA) in 2015 warned that it will fine celebrities GHc25,000 if caught advertising for alcoholic beverages. It later placed a ban on media house to stop advertising Alcoholic products during the day. This according to them will prevent celebrities from influencing under 18 from drinking.
