The video below shows a group of Nigerian army cadets who stopped traffic on an expressway simply because they feel the civilians can’t do anything.

That was exactly the words spoken by one of the cadets in the video. The cadets are seen in the video on the expressway just making noise in jubilation as motorist had stopped their cars looking on helplessly.

The video has incited many comments from social media users on Twitter. While commentators were simply doubtful they were Nigerian cadets involved in the incident, other thought otherwise.

For some commentators too, the act by the cadets was a show of disrespect and lack of discipline on the part of the cadets. Below are some selected comments:

I doubt very much if cadets (Officers in training), who ought to be an embodiment of discipline, will bring themselves so low to behave like druggies. If they are really cadets, it will only be matter of time before they go full blown disgracing Nigeria.”

We do not need to insult the system itself rather look for a way to fished out the bad one among them, if these are real n they are the cadets awaiting to be commissioned then, they need to be court Marsha and tried with immediate sentence and then send to prison

“Can u imagine? Ordinary cadets o. What would now happen if they become real soldiers. Set awon delinquent.”

Additionally, some twitter user were disgusted to the extent that they called on the Headquarters of the Nigerian Army to investigate and dismiss the cadets in the video. Some of these comments read:
