Big Brother Naija season five winner, Olamilekan Agbeleshe famously known as Laycon has opined that, the youths are no longer the future of the nation but also the present.

The rapper made this comments when he met the Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to discuss matters relating to the youths involvement in the governance of the State.

The governor gave him the youth leader title and commended him for his role in getting the youth involved in the governance of the nation.

Laycon also commended the governor and disclosed that Ogun State will rise since the leaders are beginning to involve the youth in the affairs of the State.

Laycon took to his Instagram page and shared photos of himself and the governor with the following caption:

“We the youths are no longer just the future of the Nation, we are also the present and we must strive to make impact.

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a notorious cult leader, Akibu Tikare at a time when they rounded some suspected armed robbers.

Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Police confirmed the arrest to newsmen and revealed that the suspect has been on the wanted list of the Ogun State Command for sometime now.

The Police PRO stated that he was arrested at the scene of a robbery operation by policemen attached to Ogijo division on Saturday, October 24.

“He was arrested following a distress call received at Ogijo division at about 9:30pm that a group of armed robbers were operating between Gbaga and Kamalu area of Ogijo, robbing people of their belongings at gunpoint.”

“Some of the victims have identified him as one of those that robbed them of their property including but not limited to phones and cash,” he said.

Governor of the Ogun state, Gov. Dapo Abiodun has donated a three bedroom bungalow and N5 million to the winner of 2020 BBNaija reality show, Laycon.

The donation happened on Tuesday October 6, Laycon was hosted in the office of the governor in state capital, Abeokuta.

A Nigierian truck owner has commited suicide after his vehicle was seized by the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps.

The deceased who was identified as Fatai Salami committed the dastard act at the premises of the state’s traffic control agency.

According to reports, the driver of the truck was arrested last Thursday for flouting coronavirus protocols.

He was accused of not observing social distancing in his truck and also not wearing a face mask.

The truck was seized and the driver was fined 250,000 naira. He called his boss who came in immediately. Fatai Salami was able to raise over half of the amount but was still not given his vehicle.

After he was snubbed by the officials, the deceased sat on the ground and pull out a liquid concoction from his pocket and drank it.

He collapsed and was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead. An examination on the liquid revealed it to be sniper, a popular poison used in killing rodents.
