Embattled 53 years old Singer, R. Kelly has allegedly been attacked in the Chicago prison by unidentified inmate, according to multiple reports.

TMZ reports that the incident recently took place inside the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Chicago, Illinois where he is being detained.

R.Kelly is facing state and federal $*x crime charges in Illinois, Minnesota, and New York but has since pleaded not guilty.

According to online reports, R.Kelly was sitting on his bed in the correctional center when his attacker approached him, and, without a word, started punching him in the face.

He allegedly assaulted the RnB singer because his (R.Kelly) fans have been protesting outside the correctional center which has forced security operatives to put the facility under lockdown on different occasions.

Doctors who examined R.Kelly after the incident report that, he was fine and has not suffered any broken bones or physical injuries.

R. Kelly has filed, for the third time, Legal documents demanding to be released from prison because of his health conditions.

The multiple award winning RnB singer claims he is likely to be diabetic and that puts him at a high risk of suffering serious complications should he contract coronavirus.

In the document filed by his attorney Steven Greenberg, R. Kelly just learnt that he tested “1/10 of one point below diabetic, at the very top of the high risk category”.

Greenberg added that Kelly’s current situation coupled with his high blood pressure, cholesterol issues and his obesity, he stands high risk of contracting the deadly virus and might not survive.

The court has however not come to a decision whether to release the singer or keep him in jail.

The celebrated singer was accused of sexual misconduct and he is currently waiting for trails as he is currently held in a jail in Illinois as he awaits trial.

The singer who is held at Illinois filed a plea through his lawyer Steven Greenberg on Thursday, March 26. 

R Kelly has pitched to be released from jail for the fear of contracting COVID-19 which is gradually spreading across the world.

R Kelly’s attorney filed a motion in which he talked about coronavirus spreading around the world, and the health risks he believes his client is facing while penned up in Chicago MCC.

According to him, it does not matter the steps the jail takes to ensure proper sanitation it will still be substandard and the risk of the virus spreading in there is great.

The singer pleads to be released on bond and says he is willing to wear electronic monitoring.

Kelly said he would go to live with his last remaining girlfriend, Joycelyn Savage, at an apartment complex in Chicago.

Since his trial, R. Kelly’s music career has deteriorated. The streaming platform, Spotify, cut R. Kelly’s music from its playlists, citing its new policy on hate content and hateful conduct. Apple and Pandora also quit promoting songs from the singer.

American talk show host and author, Tavis Smiley, was caught on the wrong side of the law after investigations by Variety revealed he was engaged in sexual relationships with “multiple subordinates”.

Workers told investigators that Smiley was a verbally abusive and threatening boss who tied the success of his employees to their sexual relations with him. After the allegations, PBS announced it was suspending distribution of the late-night talk show.

Famed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson was convicted of raping former beauty pageant contestant Desiree Washington in a hotel room in 1991. At the peak of his career, this was a big blow to Tyson, who lost his heavyweight title to James “Buster” Douglas.

The irony and misfortunes befalling the once admired singer-songwriter, R. Kelly, have taken on a new twist as the woman who made money available to bond him out of jail after he was hit with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, is back in court, demanding for a payback.

Valencia Love made the payment of $100,000 in four batches of $25,000 in February, making it possible for the embattled singer to be released after he spent three nights behind bars. Love, however, wants her money back after federal charges were leveled against the singer.

Attorney Michael Avenatti made a videotape available to the Chicago State prosecutors which showed R. Kelly having sex with an underage girl. This is besides the 11 sexual abuse charges that were brought against him in the month of May alone, in Chicago.

When Love posted the bail for R. Kelly, she received a lot of online bashing with her businesses suffering some forms of attacks by Kelly protesters after she said he was a “gentleman: in their interactions.”

A judge, Lawrence Flood, has, however, already ruled that she will not receive her money back immediately, with the possibility of not at all.

In July, Kelly was arrested on charges out of Northern District of Illinois and the Eastern District of New York. The charges in those two cases include child pornography, obstruction of justice and sex trafficking.

Love’s attorney is now saying that his client was unaware of the federal charges, hence her u-turn on the decision to post bail for him.

Love has refused to divulge where the money for Kelly’s bond came from, but claimed the singer would have been freed eventually, even if it wasn’t with her help.

“I’m not going to say it was my money or [Kelly’s] and he’s not broke. He’s my friend and I knew he needed help,” she said.
