Video: Mariga Concedes Defeat in Kibra Poll, Calls Winner Imran to Congratulate Him
Former footballer and Jubilee Party candidate in the Kibra by-election McDonald Mariga lost the race. He was defeated by ODM Party candidate Imran Okoth.
Former footballer and Jubilee Party candidate in the Kibra by-election McDonald Mariga lost the race. He was defeated by ODM Party candidate Imran Okoth.
Mr. Mariga conceded defeat after IEBC figures from 40 out of 183 polling stations showed that Imran was leading. The late Ken Okoth’s brother Imran had garnered 4,988 votes whereas Mariga had 2,106.

In a video making rounds on social media, Mariga called Imran Okoth to congratulate him on his victory, man to man. In the video, Mariga said that he was happy that the contest was carried out in a peaceful manner. He also added that the two should go on being friends.
