Kate Actress Reveals Why She’s Hiding Her Baby From the World

Popular TV personality Catherine Kamau aka Kate Actress has revealed why she will not be sharing pictures of her newborn just yet.

The actress who gave birth on December 14th last year welcomed a bouncing baby girl who’s name we know as Baby K.

The mother of two had in the past shared her worries about not being able to conceive again. She had tried for over 10 years and finally was blessed with Baby K.

Taking to Instagram yesterday, Kate posted a picture holding her baby girl – the first picture of her on social media.

She however had blocked the baby’s face from the frame with a heart emoji. She explained why she is not yet ready to share her baby’s picture online.

“Throwback to baby K at 2 weeks…we are not hiding her from the world, just hiding the world from her.

Such a cruel world especially here on social media. Thank you for all the congratulatory messages. You shall meet her when we are ready…if ever,” she wrote.

Her reasons for keeping Baby K away from social media are all understandable. Cyber bullying knows no bounds; not even when it comes to children.

When Beyonce and Jay Z first shared pictures of Blue Ivy, the little one was harshly criticized for not being ‘beautiful like her mother.’

Such cyber bullying at a young age is not healthy whatsoever for a child and even for the parents.

Other celebrities in Kenya who have recently welcomed their children have already gone public with their kids.

Gospel artist Size 8 and her husband DJ Mo recently shared a pic of their son Muraya Junior.

The parents opened an Instagram page for the little one after his birth and he already has almost 20K followers;

Tanasha Donna and Diamond Platnumz waited 40 days before revealing their son’s face. His Instagram following stands at 131K followers.

The Wa Jesus family are actually one couple who are still keeping their son’s face hidden.

They do however have an Instagram page for the little one with 32K followers.
