VIDEO: Police And Soldier Go Face-to-face In Heated Confrontation On The Streets Of Accra

The streets of Accra witnessed an altercation between one officer of the Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service and a soldier wearing the Ghana Armed Forces military uniform.

No one knows what might have caused the confrontation but the two security personnel were engaged in a heated argument in the video.

The video shows pedestrians and passersby looking on as the the police and soldier went at each other in the verbal confrontation.

One other officer of the MTTD tried to calm the military man down by walking him away from the other MTTD officer with whom he was having the argument and talking him out of the imminent bout.

However, try as they did to calm the situation, the confrontation go heated the more. While the MTTD officer who was involved in the argument was talking angrily at the military officer, he [the military man] in turn decided to respond.

So the military man approached police officer and was gesturing to him as if to say he would knock him down with his fist.

Suddenly, things nearly got worse when the two went face-to-face as the soldier is heard telling the police man that if he dares him, he would grab him by the pant and slap him.

But the MTTD officer wasn’t going to back down. He said in response to the soldier’s threat that: “[You will slap me] here? You dare not. You can threaten those young ones but not me.”

Fortunately, at this point people intervened and walked the military man away from the MTTD officer, restoring calm on the streets again.
