The president of Ghana in his address on coronavirus made a directive to effect a partial lockdown in certain parts of the country after it was confirmed to be epicentres of the global coronavirus pandemic in Ghana

The lockdown was followed by enforcement from the law enforcement agencies as they patrolled the streets of Greater Accra, Kumasi Metropolis and Kasoa respectively.

The Ghana Police Service in this regards arrested 810 person who violated the lockdown directives by the sitting president.

As the partial lockodwn remains suspended, Director of Public Affairs, Ghana Police Service has disclosed that 127 cases in relation to the violation of the lockdown restrictions are currently before the courts as 458 of the 810 persons arrested were granted bail.

Social distancing and personal hygiene are chief among the measures put in place across the globe to minimize the spread of the virus.

But as expected, there are a few people who flout these lockdown directives including social distancing measures and ban on public gatherings.

The Teshie Divisional Police Command have arrested seven Nigerian who are residents of Teshie in the Greater Accra Region.

The seven Nigerian nationals who were arrested by the Teshie divisional police were arrested for violating the ban on social gathering by the president of Ghana.

The Ghanaian-based Nigerians were arrested with eight other commercial drivers for breaching the restriction order.

DSP Afia Tenge, Accra Regional Police PRO has said that all the 15 suspects have been detained and are giving out their various statements.

The man in police custody as at now was caught at the private gravesite with tools and began digging.

Necessity is the mother of all invention and this video of a man running away from the cops proves it. In the blink of an eye, the man was able to escape from two cops straight into a sewer.

The video which is making rounds on social media shows a man’s close shave with the police. He seemed to have been apprehended but managed to get away thanks to an open sewer on the sidewalk.

In a split second, the apprehended man tears himself from the grasp of a police man. Despite his jacket being grasped by the cop intent on catching him, the man jumps into an open sewer and frees himself.

From the video, the cop who tries to snatch the runaway is unsuccessful. Whereas the man was willing to flee even through the sewers, the cop was not going willing to go in and soil himself.

We are not aware of the crime committed by the man to be apprehended by the police. However, if people truly do deserve a second chance, this man earned his with his sweet sewer-escape.
