Lesotho’s prime minister, Thomas Thabane has rendered his resignation from his post. His political party, All Basotho Convention has confirmed receiving the letter.

This comes in the wake of mounting pressure to do so after he was named as a suspect in his ex-wife’ s murder.

The First Lady of the tiny southern African country, Maesiah Thabane, with whom he was having an affair at the time of the murder, was charged in connection with the killing in February.

Lesotho was plunged into political instability this year after the prime minister lost control of parliament. His coalition parners abandoned him.

NPP Man Who Was Denied Access To Akufo-Addo Forum In US Resigns From Party [Full Details]

A member of the incumbent political party, New Patriotic Party (NPP) has resigned “to concentrate on his family and mining profession.”

In a letter to the General Secretary of the party sighted by AfricaCelebrities.com, Solomon Owusu said the decision was taken after a meeting with his family where concerns were raised about his affiliation to the NPP.

Mr. Owusu has served in various leadership positions of the NPP including its youth wing, TESCON and in the diaspora.

The now-former member of the NPP said it would be conflicting to remain in the party since he has decided to criticize the government on matters that negatively affect Ghanaians.

Mr. Owusu is a Mining Engineer based in the US.

Recently, he was seen in a viral video engaged in a heated argument with a police officer and a member of Ghana’s delegation accompanying President Akufo-Addo after he was denied access to a diaspora town hall meeting.

Resignation Of Miss Ghana 2019 Runner-up Personal – Inna Patty

The decision by the first runner-up of the 2019 edition of Miss Ghana, Sarah Odei Amoani, to resign from her post is personal, according to Exclusion Event Ghana organizers of the beauty pageant.

The news of Sarah Odei Amoani’s resignation shocked many Ghanaians. The queen put down her crown barely three months after winning the pageant

In an interview, Inna Patty reports that Miss Odei Amoani was “unhappy with demand required of her”.

She explained that the only expectation made on the first runner-up was the requirement for which winners work as Queens of Miss Ghana.

She further said “contestants are full aware of these requirement when they take up the mantle to be Queen”.

Exclusive Events hinted that the decision may have been catalyzed by “rather unfortunate circumstances”, on Miss Odei Ameoani part, to which management did not have the opportunity to remedy.

Inna Patty stated that “it was unfortunate that the queen could not continue with them but they wish her well”.

“We assure followers of the brand that all is well, we will still keep doing our possible best to work with winners who ready to work with us”, she said.

The news of Sarah Odei Amoani shocked many Ghanaians.

Other former winners of the pageant including Miss Ghana 2010 – Stephanie Karikari, Miss Ghana 2015 – Antoinette Delali Kemavor, Miss Ghana 2013 – Giuseppina Nana Akua Baafi and 1 first-runner up – Margaret Kuma-Mintah also during the 2017 banter between the event organisers and Margeret Dery made some damning allegations.

The former queens alleged there were attempts to make them sleep with influential men in order to meet their task of raising funds for the organizers.

KOD Reveals How His Wife Pressured Him To Quit EIB

Seasoned radio and media personality, Kofi Okyere Darko, better known as KOD in the media space has revealed that he suffered pressure from his wife to quit his job at Starr FM at the time the company was in big crisis.

Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi popularly known as Bola Ray in a presentation at this year’s International Youth Empowerment Summit held at the National Theatre on recent happenings at EiB network that led to the resignation of some high profiled presenter revealed that EIB as a company went through some very hard times that he had to delay payments of salaries for 7 months.

This according to KOD made him suffer huge pressure from his wife to resign from Starr Fm consequently from EIB Network. According to KOD, his wife suggested he quits and leaves for another job. The radio icon explained that his wife thought he was being unfair to her so he had to allow Bola Ray to intervene and speak to her.

“There are other people who had stress from family. I did at some point. My wife was worried. In actual fact at a point, Bola had to call her personally because we’re family that Charlie we were going through a low tide and it’s not permanent we’ll overcome this. Bola had to call my wife,” he said.

KOD stated that “I had some pressure from my wife Charlie. Some people are leaving, why are you still there? I’m like no I can’t do this. I can’t do this I believe in loyalty. I’d done 18 years at Radio Gold. Do you know what it was like at Radio Gold? Radio Gold is very political so when NDC is in power, they’re in a good place. When they’re in opposition they’re in a bad place. So in and out and I stayed for 18 years. I know how to deal with these things”.

Missing Takoradi Girls: My Resignation Isn’t A Solution- CID Boss

Over seven (7) months have elapsed since reports of the missing Takoradi girls emerged.

Efforts by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service have so far produced very little results.

It would be recalled that the CID recently discovered body remains alleged to be the missing girls.

This development led to controversy over whether the girls were alive as purported by the Ghana Police CID boss, Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, or whether they were dead.

It is against this backdrop that many Ghanaians called for the resignation of the CID boss.

But in a recent media address, Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, has said that calling for her resignation won’t solve kidnappings in the country.

She said “there is a problem for us to solve and that is my focus. I have to focus and bring whatever situation we have to a conclusive stage. Not to waste time thinking of whether to resign or not”.

She also took the opportunity to explain the nature of her position and the implication for her resignation saying that “I cannot resign from my position unless I resign from the Ghana Police Service entirely. “When the time for me comes to leave, I will leave”, she added.
