A Plus Admits To Misleading The Youth To Vote For Nana Addo And The NPP

Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, has been in the news lately mainly for his critique of the incumbent New Patriotic Part (NPP) government.

A Plus has expressed disappoint in the Akufo-Addo led government and has even found a pressure group, named the People’s Project (TPP), with the aim of putting governments in check.
The defunct musician turned politician has, however, admitted to misleading the youth to vote for the NPP in the 2016 general elections.
A Plus in reaction to the increment of utility bills, and to express his disappointment in the President, shared a throwback video of Nana Addo promising to reduce tariffs when he wins power.
He said he trusted him but he has now realized he is an ordinary lying Ghanaian.

Beneath his post, a fan reminded him that he campaigned for the Nana Addo prior to the 2016 elections, therefore, he is disappointed in him too.
Replying the comment, the anti-corruption campaigner said he admits misleading the youth and called on others who supported Nana Addo to do same too.
He said: “I humbly accept it. I hope all the others who campaigned do same. When we say things we cannot do the best thing to do to show that we have some respect for the people is to come back to them and accept our mistake. We must not take the people for fools.”
