Three gang members of a notorious robbery syndicate n Nigeria have been burnt to death after mob caught them trying to rob a branch of an old generation bank.

Spokesperson of the police command, Gbenga Fadeyi, said i a statement that the robbers arrived at the bank premises in an 18-seater bus.

They used dynamites and AK-47 riffles to gain access of the bank to break into the security door. He added that the robbers failed to carry their loot as vigilantes stormed the bank to attack them.

The spokesperson said their bus somersaulted giving the mob opportunity to catch three of the robber and setting them ablaze.

A woman, yet to be identified, has been arrested trying to deposit Two Hundred Thousand Naira worth of fake currency at a POS facility in Benin, Edo State, Nigeria.

She boldly walked into the POS facility and attempted depositing N200K in an account but was nabbed.

The woman confessed to her criminal act and begged for mercy when she was confronted by people present.

Upon interrogation, she said she was introduced to the act by a man she met on Facebook who promised her riches.

Many are feared dead as robbers attacked a bank in Isanlu town, a suburb of Kogi State, and also opened fire at the towns police station on Thursday June 4.

Reports gathered say, they first charged into the towns police station first to open fire on unsuspected officers present, killing and injuring many. They then moved to the bank where they robbed and killed more people.

It is said that they operated for over an hour and succeeded in their raid leaving bodies scattered all over the town.

The state’s police spokesperson told reporters that the Deputy Commissioner of Police is on his way to assess the situation.

“Attacks on a bank and police formation was reported by civilians but I can’t give you details because the DPO on ground cannot be reached yet but the Deputy Commissioner of Police is on his way to assess the situation.”

A photo of a white man caught on CCTV footage shows he painted his face to look like a black man for a bank robbery in Maryland, United States Of America.

The white man wearing the blackface is said to have robbed a bank on Tuesday, according to the police.

The suspect robbed a PNC bank in Perryville, Maryland, a town about 40 miles northeast of Baltimore, near the Delaware and Pennsylvania borders.

The Perryville police wrote on Facebook that: “We are seeking the public’s help in identifying the below pictured subject.”

Police described the suspect as “a white male, with paint on his face,” who seemed to be in his late 20s to early 30s. They did not specify how much money he may have been able to steal from the bank.

Since the emergence of the photo on social media, commentators have mostly expressed anger at the attempt to perpetuate the notion that black people are criminals.

One commentator said: “He should also be charged for Racism. America has done a great job in criminalizing Blackness such that white criminals are capitalizing on it.”
