A Nigerian man who was convicted by a British court and later deported to his home country will be flown back to appeal his deportation. A higher court ruled it unlawful.

The man was jailed for four-and-a-half years after being convicted for criminal dealings. He was deported subsequently after his initial appeals were thrown out.

In an immigration tribunal judgment, the judge, Justice Lane ruled that the unnamed Nigerian, had a right to have his appeal heard in Britain.

The man had claimed his life was in danger back in Nigeria because he was a bisexual and had converted to Christianity, hence his appeal against his deportation after serving his jail time.

Britain has a strict policy of deportation of any foreigner who is convicted for engaging in criminal activities.

Bab Pool, a 70 year lottery shop operator, allegedly commited suicide in his shop in Kayode Market, Abule Ijesha, in the Sabo area of Lagos State over his ”inability to pay the winnings of his customers.”

Traders in the market said Bab Pool forgot to submit two winning tickets to the lottery office. The lottery winners came to his shop to ask for their money when they realize they won but met a suicide note from the operator.

Baba hanged himself inside his shop leaving behind the below words on a suicide note.

“For your information, Bourney and Osuma. Two of them kill me. A killer must surely die.”

Spokesperson of the state police command, Bala Elkana, confirmed the incident saying the two accused persons have been arrested and being interrogated.

Oluwamayowa Adeyemi, a young Nigerian man, was reported to have been shot dead outside of his home in Hackney, east London.

Reports say the 21-year-old was killed in Clapton, east London, last Friday night June 5th, 2020. He was confirmed dead at the scene by Paramedics, with a post-mortem revealing a gunshot wound to the chest as the cause of death.

On June 5 at 11:30pm, the police were called to report multiple shots fired in Brakenfield Close, E5, and homicide detectives have now appealed for information.

“Following initial enquiries we know that there were people in Brackenfield Close at the time of the shooting.

“I would urge those people, and anyone else who has information that could progress this investigation to get in contact immediately.’

“This is a tragic incident that has resulted in the loss of a young man’s life and has left his family and friends devastated.

The death of a Nigerian man who was brutally beaten in India has called for the reaction of the Nigerian in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM).

The business man identified as Sunny Mike was beaten to death at Palam, New Delhi on Wednesday, May 27.

Reports gathered say the businessman was accused of theft by an Indian lady which called for a mob justice from passers-by. He was dead by the time police arrived at the scene.

His body was moved to the morgue and family flooded social media demanding justice and NIDCOM has waded in on the conversation.

Reacting to the video gone viral, the Diaspora Commision wrote;
“Our attention has been drawn to above incident of a Nigerian brutally beaten up in Delhi, India. The Nigerian mission in India is aware and are currently investigating the circumstances. We call on Nigeria Community in India to be calm as the Mission is aware.”
